The Founders

Bert Emanuel, Sr. - President, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) & Co-Founder

Bert Emanuel is a native of Houston and 1994 Rice University graduate. Bert is a former NFL professional athlete. He is the author and originator of the famous "Bert Emanuel Rule" known universally as the most controversial catch in NFL history.

Upon retirement, Bert quickly made his presence known as an entrepreneur contracting with the US Army to provide over 800,000 garments for deployed female soldiers. After that contract expired, Bert began working with NASA & Oceaneering Space Systems to design, develop and construct Liquid Cooling & Ventilation Garments (LCVG) for NASA astronauts.  In 2011, Mr Emanuel was contacted by Dr. Ngo to begin R&D on the Medsuit Program.

Core La, M.D. - Chief Information Officer (CIO), Co-Founder & Chairman

Dr Core La is a solo obstetrician/gynecologist in Houston, TX. After graduating from Baylor University, he received his M.D. from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and his OB/GYN training at UT-Houston in the Texas Medical Center. Although he loves the convenience of wearing scrubs to work, he has always felt that the current selections and styles, as well as fabric, are archaic. "We do not work out in cotton t-shirts anymore, why would professionals go to work in cotton/polyester blended pajamas? The advance of anti-microbial performance fabric plus the design of custom tailored slacks and shirts is the logical evolution of the image of the modern medical professional."

Rick Ngo, M.D. - Director of Business Development, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Investor Relations & Co-Founder

Dr. Rick Ngo is a native of Houston and graduate from Rice University in 1994. He subsequently obtained his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Medicine-San Antonio. Dr. Ngo completed his General Surgery residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston in 2003 and has been practicing in the Memorial, Katy, Sugar Land, and Southwest Houston communities for the past twelve years. His main focus areas include minimally invasive hernia, gallbladder, and breast disease surgery. Dr. Ngo is also very active in the community as he currently holds leadership positions with the American Cancer Society, American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, Gateway to Care, and YMCA Greater Houston International Services. His hobbies include golf, tennis, and volunteering. Dr. Ngo believes that the future of medical clothing is focused on providing anti-microbial soft products to healthcare facilities that will help improve patient and doctor safety.
